We went to Old Market and walked around the cobblestone streets and got some ice cream. We walked around the park, water way and the ice skating rink at night. It was very pretty. Downtown was interesting as were a few places to visit a short drive away. We didn’t get a chance to explore to a great extent all the places, but did enough in a couple days to satisfy us and give us a sense of what there is to do. Definitely hit the mini golf place and Durham museum. Walk around and explore the shops. Definitely hit the candy store with two rooms filled with pinball and old video games.

Weather was our enemy this time ! We always have a great time Omaha is surely making a name for itself with big improvements of the old market ! It’s great for family’s there’s many different things to do, the zoo, museums, downtown , theaters , plenty of places for kids of all ages think there’s something fro everyone no matter the age or gender, or preferences

The people of Nebraska are wonderful.
The people of Nebraska are wonderful. Haven’t had a ton of good experiences with the people of Iowa. Omaha is more like Iowa than Nebraska. The zoo is absolutely all it’s cracked up to be, but get in, do your business there, and get out without touching anything else if you can. Speaking of which, be careful getting in and out of Omaha. There is zero traffic enforcement in that city and people drive like they know it.

We had very limited time for tourist activities, but one was a highlight - the beautiful (especially at night) bridge over the Missouri River that "connects" Nebraska & Iowa. We ate at Piezons Pizzeria and Roma Italian Restaurant and both had excellent food and were a good value.

Our room was large enough to accommodate a comfortable arm chair--always a nice addition to the ubiquitous hotel room desk chair. The king size bed was very comfortable. Has washer and dryer for guest use.
